The APEC CITY 2018 – Gorgeous Danang Beach City

Da Nang City has 92 kilometers of coastline. There are roughly three separate beach areas of varying popularity and features:

The North part of Da Nang includes Xuan Thieu Beach (Red Beach) and Thanh Binh Beach (one kilometre long) facing Da Nang Bay. Both are offer incredible white sand, blue water and fewer tourists, but also lack many facilities. Best to prep your picnic basket or cooler for the day.

The Son Tra Area encompasses the eastern mountainous peninsula that divides the south and north areas of the city’s coastline. It includes smaller, near empty, albeit sometimes rockier, beaches such as Bai Con, Bai Nam, Bai Bac, Bai But, Bai Rang, and Tien Sa Beach. Day trips here are usually combined with visits to Linh Ung Pagoda or up to the top of Son Tra Peninsula  to take in the view over the region. If you consider yourself a bird watcher, nature lover or fisherman, this is where you want to be.

The South part of Da Nang (actually across the Hàn River to the east of the downtown) encompasses Pham van Dong Beach, My Khe Beach, Bac My An Beach and finally, Non Nuoc Beach at the southernmost end. Collectively they span an impressive 30 kilometers, are in closest proximity to most accommodation in the city as well as beachfront dining options. Therefore it’s the busiest, but for the stretches of private beach in front of resorts along Non Nuoc

Danang City Beach refers to long stretch of 30km white sand and clear water of Da Nang, starting from Son Tra Peninsula  to Hoi An’s outskirt, with Ngu Hanh Son Moutains at the rough center. Locally, Danang Beach is comprised of many different sections called different name such as My Khe, My An, Non Nuoc and Cua Dai.

However, this article will focus on My Khe, My An and Non Nuoc, which are considered as beaches of Da Nang. This is neither The Largest Beach In Vietnam, but it is recognized internationally by appearing on American Business Magazine Forbes as one of the six most charming beaches on the planet and attracts thousands of people every year.

It is also ranked as one of world’s Top 10 Asian best beaches by Sunday Herald Sun – the Australian Magazine. Danang Beach has wonderful stretches of white soft sand, crisp sunshine and pure air together with idyllic lines of coconut palm trees, providing perfect shades for sunbathing.

Beside the beach is the Han River with its super clear water flowing into the sea and behind lies the dark green poplar forest, making up the gorgeous setting. What is more, the beach is also endowed with lovely coral, ample greenery and creatures both under sea and along the bank.
